We Are The Ones We Have Been Waiting For

Obama on Mt Rushmore

Yeah – that's Obama on Mt Rushmore. Just  a bauble ornament on the Obama tree last Christmas – er, I mean, Winter Holiday.

Just a bit pretentious there.  And not only that…

Comment by Sen. Pat Roberts after an Obama-Republicans meeting: "He's pretty thin-skinned."

Yeah.

Obama is among the most thin-skinned presidents we have had…from being  upset at Fox News, and conservative talk radio, and Republicans, and people carrying unflattering posters of him. He gets upset when his avalanche of faulty  and made-up facts are challenged, like on health care.

It's like he wants his word to be the WORD and unchallanged, and how dare we question!

In Obama's eyes, he is always the aggrieved, always the violated, the put-upon, always the victim of some injustice. He is America's virtuous and valorous hero, a man of unusually pure motives and uncommon wisdom, under assault by the forces of darkness.

It is all so darn unfair.

Not surprisingly, Obama's thin skin leads to self pity…and this constant playing the martyr grows old very fast.

In a fundraising event for Sen. Barbara Boxer, Obama said,

Let's face it: this has been the toughest year and a half since any year and a half since the 1930s.

Really?
Worse than the period surrounding December 7, 1941 and September 11, 2001?
Worse than Watergate and Jimmy Carter's  22 percent interest rates and stagflation and the "Misery Index"?
Worse than 1968 assinations and Vietnam — a war that cost 58,000 lives?

[Oh, poor baby.  Then I guess you have no business playing President.]

[What a piece of crap!  Get over yourself already.]

For Obama to complain that the problems he faces are so much worse than any other president in the last 80 years is stunningly self-indulgent, and whining.

With Obama there is also the compulsive need to admonish others, to point fingers, to say that the problems he faces are not of his doing.  [of course not]

The president's instincts are by now obvious to all: deflect blame, point fingers, and lash out at others, most especially his predecessor. We know from press reports that the strategy for the Democrats in 2010, two years after Obama was elected president, is to – still – blame George W. Bush.

What explains all this is hard to know. But it's clear he has adopted an image of himself as something rare and remarkable, a historic figure of almost super-human abilities.  Just look at what he said of himself….

"I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth."

"We are the ones we have been waiting for," Obama and his aides said constantly during the campaign.

[now that is scary!]

When arrogant men lose control of events, it can easily lead to feelings of isolation, to striking out at critics, to bullying opponents, and to straying across lines that should not be crossed.

Obama needs Truth-Tellers around him. Instead, he has brown-nosing lackeys who feed him more of this crap.

Cockiness is not the same as Wisdom, and empty words are no substitute for real and substantive achievements.

Obama Favorably Compared to Hitler

I can make a case for Obama acting like Hitler with his SEIU and Acorn acting as his Brown Shirts, his SA.

I can make a case for Obama accusing his opponents of the very same tactics he uses…."shout them down", "get in their face", swamp the telephone lines on call-in shows. etc.

I can make a case for Obama and Hitler wanting ordinary citizens to snitch on each other. BTW, they have to keep any and all emails they receive. So do not believe they will delete the info. It ‘s the LAW that they must keep all emails.

I can make a case for his health care advisor/mentor Zeke Emanuel saying that those who do not contribute toward society (in their estimation) are not worth as much as another human (eugenics). Yup, Hitler did that too.

But favorably compared to Hitler….is that even possible?

Apparently so.

"NYTimes: Obama’s Economic Ideas Great… Just Like Hitler’s Were?" by Warner Todd Huston provides an analysis of the stunning comparison of President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler made by David Leonhardt in "The New York Times" which is owned by a Jewish family.

Huston’s article can be found on the Internet at: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/warner-todd-huston/2009/04/03/nytimes-obamas-economic-ideas-great-just-hitlers-were .

Leonhardt’s article "Times Topics: Economic Stimulus" is on the Internet at: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/01/business/economy/01leonhardt.html?_r=4&ref=business

In his article, Huston says that Leonhardt  compares Obama to Hitler, but in a good way! Leonhardt, Huston points out, was saying that it was a good thing that, in an economic sense, Obama was being like Hitler. Huston explains how Leonhardt encourages Americans to ignore World War II and the Holocaust and just focus on how Hitler’s polices were good for Germany because Hitler, in essence, made the trains run on time.

With a level of hubris reserved only for Democrats, Leonhardt wrote approvingly about how Obama is emulating Hitler’s economic policies with massive "stimulus" spending and the take over of private industry.

He is not far off the mark, but in a BAD way! Obama is certainly like Hitler, lying to the people when he, Obama, looked Americans straight in the eye during his New Hampshire town hall meeting and declared that he has never favored a single-payer health insurance plan. Yet, there is a VIDEO of Obama saying he wants a  single-payer health insurance plan and that it may take a while, like 15 or 20 years to eliminate the private insurance. But that is what he wants. It’s on video, in his own words. That video can be found on the Internet at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpAyan1fXCE . And yet they still believe a proven LIAR?

Just as deceptive was Obama’s declaration that Senator Johnny Isakson of Georgia was the author of the “end-of-life” language, but Isakson later publicly stated that he had nothing to do with the Democrat-devised legislation. Another lie.

And then there is the statement theat the AARP endorsed his health care bill. No, they did not and they say so! And yet another lie.

Democrats expressed no outrage over Lenohardt’s favorable comparison of Obama to Hitler. Yet, Democrats reflexively use Hitler references to denigrate average Americans who oppose Obama’s government-run health care scheme.
