Thanks to hackers who broke into the servers at a British climate research center and have now leaked years worth of e-mail messages — including one that mentions a plan to "hide the decline," [in global temps -- like, we have a global cooling!]

The data is from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (commonly called Hadley CRU), and Phil Jones, the head of the Hadley CRU, confirmed that the leaked data is real.

Same thing happened here. See Suppressed Climate Change Report

The Smoking Guns

**Manipulation of evidence:

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.

**Private doubts about whether the world really is heating up:

The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.

**Suppression of evidence:

Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4?

Keith will do likewise. He’s not in at the moment – minor family crisis.

Can you also email Gene and get him to do the same? I don’t have his new email address.

We will be getting Caspar to do likewise.

**Fantasies of violence against prominent Climate Sceptic scientists:

Next time I see Pat Michaels at a scientific meeting, I’ll be tempted to beat  the crap out of him. Very tempted.

**Attempts to disguise the inconvenient truth of the Medieval Warm Period (MWP):

……Phil and I have recently submitted a paper using about a dozen NH records that fit this category, and many of which are available nearly 2K back–I think that trying to adopt a timeframe of 2K, rather than the usual 1K, addresses a good earlier point that Peck made w/ regard to the memo, that it would be nice to try to “contain” the putative “MWP”, even if we don’t yet have a hemispheric mean reconstruction available that far back….

So all of us who claimed all this warming data was "cooked" — well, we are right! There is no global warming threatening the planet. Get over it already.

And then the UN wants to fight non-existant global warming with condoms.

Oh yeah, now there's a solution. But here's a motive for all this deception….

A United Nations document on "climate change" envisions a huge reordering of the world economy, likely involving trillions of dollars in wealth transfer [from US to them], millions of job losses and gains, new taxes, industrial relocations, new tariffs and subsidies, and complicated payments for greenhouse gas abatement schemes and carbon taxes — all under the supervision of the world body.

Those and other results are discussed in a UN "information note" on the fallout of the  measures that industrialized countries will be forced to take (like shelling out trillions to other countries) after it is signed by December 2009. The Obama administration has said it supports the treaty process.

U.N. 'Climate Change' Plan Would Likely Shift Trillions to Form New World Economy

See Al Gore at the Society of Environmental Journalists’ convention in Madison, Wisconsin.
See Irish filmmaker Phelim McAleer, director of Not Evil, Just Wrong, a movie critical of the global warming movement confronting Gore.
See Gore sweat (must be that darned global warming).

It seems that Gore’s flick, An Inconvenient Truth, is so packed with fraud and lies (gee, what a surprise – as Gore continues to rake in the millions made off this hoax.)

The question asked of Gore was: "The judge in the British High Court, after a lengthy hearing, found that there were nine significant errors [in the movie]. This has been shown to children.  Do you accept those findings, and have you done anything to correct those errors?"

Gore brushed off the question by going straight to the sweet polar bears. "You don’t think they’re endangered?" Gore demanded of McAleer. (uh, no, their numbers are increasing)

But the United Kingdom’s High Court in London ruled that An Inconvenient Truth contains "alarmist and exaggerated" content which can only be legally shown to school children if accompanied by a warning regarding the film’s blatant "political brainwashing."

In his ruling, Judge Michael Burton said the "apocalyptic vision presented in the film was politically partisan and thus not an impartial scientific analysis of climate change."  It was, he continued, the work of a "talented politician and communicator, to make a political statement and to support a political program."

Because he could not find a real polar bear succumbing to heat stroke in an iceless sea, Al Gore had to use an animated polar bear drowning in his movie.  Finding the real deal is virtually impossible.

Truth is, polar bears are prospering.  Residents of Barrow, Alaska, the state’s northern-most city, are always heavily armed with loaded shotguns when out and about, because of this population explosion.  When in contact with a polar bear they are instructed to shoot to kill at close range.

Finally reasonable people are speaking out and demanding an end to this hysteria that has made Al Gore rich.

Billions of dollars of grant money (your tax money) are flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. It is all designed to get your money and then guilt you into living your life a certain way — like Obama’s light bulbs. And let us not forget that Gore charges $100,000 at each stop on his tour across the nation.

But 30,000 scientists are suing Al Gore for fraud. Right On

 Al Gore toon

This huge tax bill is totally unnecessary. The stress and pain caused for most of us is all for nothing.

The Global Warming Hoax/ Fraud

In the face of name-calling and worse, I have always maintained that Al Gore perpetrated the biggest scam on us and the world. What caused us to lap it up like Pavlovian dogs? Say the words "planet" "save" and we all salivate and believe everything we are told. How ludicrous. How stupid!

The science, the real science, behind this global warming stupidity is now collapsing. The most reliable satellite weather data shows that global atmospheric temperatures have declined over the last 11 years — that means the temps are getting colder!

Science also shows that the temperature patterns of the 20th century correlate with natural causes, not this global warming nonsense.

Temperatures did not increase steadily throughout the last century — even though carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases did.

Temperatures in the U.S. were stable until 1920, and then soared to produce the hottest decade of the century during the 1930s — all way before the rapid increases in greenhouse gas emissions.  Gee, Al, how do you account for that?

The climate then cooled during most of the period from 1940 until about 1977. Temperatures climbed upward from 1977 until 1998, except for a sharp downturn from about 1988 until about 1995. Temperatures are down again over the past decade — down over the last 11 years. It’s cycles folks! Nothing to worry about.

Forget that hysteria of floating polar bears and ice caps melting (oh the sky is falling) The polar ice caps are not melting. The melting of glaciers still going on is because those glaciers are from the last age age — which ended (thankfully) and, therefore, not due to global warming. Sea levels rose 400 feet, but over the last 18,000 years!  Furthermore, the rise has been decelerating over the past 5,000 years, and now is 1.8 mm per year – millimeters, regardless of global temperature fluctuations. What that means is the oceans would rise 9 inches over the next 100 years. Oooo, watch out for those floods!

This record is more consistent with the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, a long-term pattern of ocean currents that turns from cold to warm back to cold every 20 to 30 years, and with variations in solar activity, particularly sunspots. Indeed, our current accelerating temperature decline correlates with an extended trend of slowing sunspot activity, which may portend another Little Ice Age, as happened from the early 1400s to the late 1800s. Indeed, a full-blown ice age is now overdue based on historical patterns. –Spectator

In April, the Polish Academy of Sciences published a document challenging man-made global warming….Dr. Kiminori Itoh, a Japanese environmental physical chemist who contributed to a U.N. climate report, dubs man-made warming "the worst scientific scandal in history." Norway’s Ivar Giaever, Nobel Prize winner for physics, decries it as the "new religion."– WSJ

What? The EPA suppressed a report they did not want released because Obama wanted to go ahead and impose the largest tax on us ever? And for nothing? Yup.

You know he (Obama) will keep trying. The hell with the truth! He got it through and by the idiots in the House, but luckily, the Senate (and Jim Inhofe) are smarter.

According to this report, the earth is actually cooling, not warming. So crank up those cars and have fun!

Sen Inhofe has called for an investigation – like who will be investigating? Do you really think anyone has the guts to tell the truth?

Anyway, this 98-page report, co-authored by EPA analyst Alan Carlin, says that the data the EPA was using was out of date, and that even as atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have increased, global temperatures have declined.

The Email Trail

According to internal e-mails that have been made public by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Carlin’s boss told him in March that his material would not be incorporated into a broader EPA finding and ordered Carlin to stop working on the climate change issue or be fired. The draft EPA finding released in April lists six greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide, that the EPA says threaten public health and welfare.

Carlin said he doesn’t know whether the White House intervened to suppress his report but claimed it’s clear "they would not be happy about it if they knew about it" and that his boss seemed to be feeling pressure from somewhere up the chain of command.

Carlin said his boss, National Center for Environmental Economics Director Al McGartland, told him after pulling him off the climate change issue that he had to do it.

"It was reassigning you or losing my job, and I didn’t want to lose my job," Carlin said, paraphrasing what he claimed were McGartland’s comments to him. "My inference (was) that he was receiving some sort of higher-level pressure."

Carlin said he personally does not think there is a current need to regulate carbon dioxide, since "global temperatures are going down." He said his report expressed a "good bit of doubt" on the connection between the two.

Specifically, the report noted that global temperatures were on a downward trend over the past 11 years, that scientists do not necessarily believe that storms will become more frequent or more intense due to global warming, and that the theory that temperatures will cause Greenland ice to rapidly melt has been "greatly diminished."

Carlin, in a March 16 e-mail, argued that his comments are "valid, significant" and would be critical to the EPA finding.

McGartland, though, wrote back the next day saying he had decided not to forward his comments. WHY? Cover up the truth. Who needs the truth?

"The administrator and the administration has decided to move forward on endangerment, and your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision," he wrote, according to the e-mails released by CEI. "I can only see one impact of your comments given where we are in the process, and that would be a very negative impact on our office." …and… "I don’t want you to spend any additional EPA time on climate change. No papers, no research, etc., at least until we see what EPA is going to do with climate," McGartland wrote.

He later wrote an e-mail urging Carlin to "move on to other issues and subjects."

The EPA said in a written statement that Carlin’s opinions were in fact considered, and that he was not even part of the working group dealing with climate change in the first place.

"Claims that this individual’s opinions were not considered or studied are entirely false. This administration and this EPA administrator are fully committed to openness, transparency and science-based decision making," the statement said. "The individual in question is not a scientist and was not part of the working group dealing with this issue. Nevertheless the document he submitted was reviewed by his peers and agency scientists, and information from that report was submitted by his manager to those responsible for developing the proposed endangerment finding. In fact, some ideas from that document are included and addressed in the endangerment finding."

The e-mail exchanges and suggestions of political interference sparked a backlash from Republicans in Congress.

"He came out with the truth. They don’t want the truth at the EPA," Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla, a global warming skeptic, told FOX News, saying he’s ordered an investigation. "We’re going to expose it."

The controversy comes after the House of Representatives passed a landmark bill to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, one that Inhofe said is "dead on arrival" in the Senate despite Obama’s energy adviser voicing confidence in the measure.

Reps. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., and Darrell Issa, R-Calif., also wrote a letter last week to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson urging the agency to reopen its comment period on the finding. The EPA has since denied the request.

Citing the internal e-mails, the Republican congressmen wrote that the EPA was exhibiting an "agency culture set in a predetermined course."

"It documents at least one instance in which the public was denied access to significant scientific literature and raises substantial questions about what additional evidence may have been suppressed," they wrote.

In a written statement, Issa said the administration is "actively seeking to withhold new data in order to justify a political conclusion."

"I’m sure it was very inconvenient for the EPA to consider a study that contradicted the findings it wanted to reach," Sensenbrenner said in a statement, adding that the "repression" of Carlin’s report casts doubt on the entire finding.

Carlin said he’s concerned that he’s seeing "science being decided at the presidential level."

"Now Mr. Obama is in effect directly or indirectly saying that CO2 causes global temperatures to rise and that we have to do something about it. … That’s normally a scientific judgment and he’s in effect judging what the science says," he said. "We need to look at it harder."

Al Gore Huckster

Tuesday at the third International Conference on Climate Change:

Global warming skeptics, the ones with some common sense who kept demanding hard-science evidence to refute doomsday predictions from alarmists, have some new information.

The 250 people listened to a dozen elite scientists refute the claim that global warming is either man-made or would have harmful effects on Earth.

But we still have a problem because of intended legislation based upon this doomsday stupidity.
