In the wake of the sweetheart deal used by Dems to bribe Ben Nelson for his vote, Republican attorneys general in 13 states are vowing legal action. They say that congressional leaders must remove Nebraska's political deal from the federal health care reform bill — or they will sue.
"We believe this provision is constitutionally flawed," South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster and the 12 other attorneys general wrote in the letter to be sent Wednesday night to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
"As chief legal officers of our states we are contemplating a legal challenge to this provision and we ask you to take action to render this challenge unnecessary by striking that provision," they wrote.
The letter was signed by top prosecutors in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Michigan, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington state. All are Republicans, and McMaster and the attorneys general of Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania are running for governor in their respective states.
Last week, McMaster said he was leading several other attorneys general in an inquiry into the constitutionality of the estimated $100 million deal he has dubbed the "Cornhusker Kickback."
And the rest of will pay for his bills. Like we don't have enough of our own, right?

So what is wrong with these people?

Obama: Leading America into a Political and Constitutional House of Horrors
Barack Hussein Obama, a man of limited talents and unlimited ego, could be leading America into the political and constitutional equivalent of a House of Horrors.
He could be generating a level of governmental chaos unprecedented in the history of the world.
As various constitutional scholars have pointed out, if Obama is not eligible to be president, it would have monumental consequences.
For example, every action he’s taken as “president” – every appointment he’s made, every law he’s signed, every directive he’s issued, and every treaty he’s authorized – would be null and void.
More heads would roll in Washington than in 18th century Paris during the French Revolution.
But the fundamental point is this: We Americans ignore the Constitution at our peril. If we don’t have – and strictly observe – the Constitution, then we have no guarantee of our liberties.
Suppose that Obama is not eligible to be President. Or suppose his elusive birth certificate contains some damning fact.
Either of those situations could cripple Obama’s ability to govern.
Understand this: Barack Hussein Obama, who’s engaged mainly in trivial pursuits like “community organizing,” is a master of one thing: hiding unpleasant facts – inconvenient truths – that could derail his unlimited political ambitions.
The Obama most of the world thinks it knows – the brilliant thinker, the great orator, the talented writer – is a myth. Take away the TelePrompter and you have a man who’s tongue-tied.
Clearly, Obama has a serious problem when it comes to leveling with the American people. Also, he may have a similar problem distinguishing truth from fiction.
Sarah Palin is right when she says questions about Obama’s eligibility are “fair game.”
We need your help to uncover all the things that Barack Hussein Obama wants to keep hidden. With your help, we will ensure that Obama can’t continue to stiff-arm our nation.
